In 2015 the BCMC built 2 side by side homes that were video documented identifying the overall construction time to completion of each of the building techniques. The time-lapse video showed the benefits of off-site manufacturing, and labor cost saving of the project for the new home that was manufactured off-site assembled at the job site. The project results were staggering, identifying the cost savings, landfill waste reduction, reduction of board-feet utilized, and man hour reduction, and most of all, a decrease of the overall production time to completion.
